Privacy policy

We collect different types of information about our users for three reasons.

  1. To help improve our subscription service.
  2. To provide a unique personalised services to individual subscribers.
  3. From time to time we may use anonymous details about our subscribers, both current and lapsed, to sell appropriate advertising space on our web site and within Newsademic publications. This means that we may show prospective advertisers how many visitors  our web site experiences but it does not mean that we will share any of our individual user's details with them.

Our principles
We are committed to protecting all our user's privacy. We will not share your information with any third party without your prior consent. We abide by the following principals:

  1. We constantly invest in the latest security technology to protect our user's privacy and to prevent any form of  unauthorised access.
  2. We respect your E-mail privacy. You will not receive unsolicited E-mail from us unless you have agreed to. We may however E-mail you from time to time with information about your subscription account or new publications.
  3. We will not sell, trade, rent or pass on your contact details, including your E-mail address, to any other parties unless we have your consent.
  4. We will only share anonymous details about our subscribers and web site traffic statistics with possible potential advertisers.

A Personal info page is provided when subscribers are logged in. This page allows you to amend your own contact details at any time.

What information do we collect?
We collect information on users and subscribers by session cookies. Session cookies are set on your computer when you log in. These session cookies are only stored on your computer for the duration of time that you are logged in to the Newsademic web site. Once you close your browser these cookies are automatically deleted.

The information which we require and collect from subscribers and those who wish to receive a free copy of Newsademic is First name, Last name, E-mail address and country. This data allows us to personalise our service for our users and subscribers. Users and subscribers may also supply their address, postcode/zip code and telephone number but these details are not compulsory. We do not share any of this information with third parties.

We collect data listing which of our web pages are most frequently visited and by which types of users.

Please note:

  1. We reserve the right to disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests to operate our systems properly and to protect both ourselves and our end users
  2. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of web sites that may carry a link to Newsademic or to web site for which we display a link.
  3. We may employ external companies to act on our behalf as data processors for business purposes. These companies will abide by this privacy policy and will not disclose personal details to any other organisation or use the data for purposes other than those required by us.

We reserve the right to change: information displayed on the Newsademic web site, the systems used and to add to or amend this private policy. If however the changes are significant we may decide to E-mail our subscribers to alert them to these changes.
